INFODAT DATA BASE

            INFODAT is a data base of  information from various sources, including the New York Times, the Economist, Foreign Affairs, the Wall Street Journal and other specialized journals and newsletters.  Divided into topics within a large document in which the viewer can execute a standard internal word or phrase search, INFODAT  focuses on people and organizations doing work in a particular area. The information provided can be very useful for developing speakers lists for events and for researchers interested in locating alternative sources of information on specialists. The ICLTD also notes news information that highlights what its views as a particularly significant international trend through the use of the "PN)" notification which signifies the Executive Director's personal notes on a newsworthy item.

        Developing and up-keeping INFODAT is a very time-consuming process.  Accordingly, access to the data base is provided on the basis of a password that will be issued free of charge to persons who email ICLTD.  A request can be made to icltd@icltd.org or directly to the office of the Executive Director at director_icltd@hotmail.com.  In the "re" of the email message please state "Infodat Access," otherwise the ICLTD will not process your request.

        The ICLTD welcomes the volunteer assistance of viewers interested in helping the organization collect, collate and enter materials for INFODAT 1999-2000.
